Ateria aavikolla – Picnic in the Desert (Nina Åström)

30,00

Rakastettu laulaja-lauluntekijä, evankelista ja opettaja Nina Åström kuvaa kirjassaan avoimeen ja sydämelliseen tyyliinsä 35-vuotisen taiteilijauransa eri vaiheita kirkoista konserttisaleihin ja Euroviisuista vankiloihin. Parinkymmenen viime vuoden ajan hän on esiintynyt arviolta 400 vankilassa ja huumeparantolassa eri puolilla maailmaa, varsinkin entisen Neuvostoliiton alueella. Kaikkiaan Åström on työskennellyt yli 30 maassa ja julkaissut 17 albumia, joista Avoin taivas myi platinaa vuonna 2020. Vaikka valtiot ja olosuhteet vaihtuvat, kantavana voimana pysyy usko Jeesukseen ja armon sanoma. Miksi seurata Jeesusta? Miksi Raamattu on tärkeä?

Much loved singer-songwriter, evangelist and teacher, Nina Åström describes in her book
the different stages and events of her 35-year career from churches to concert halls and from the Eurovision Song Contest to prisons. She does this in her warm, open and straightforward manner. During the last couple of decades, she is estimated to have performed in 400 prisons and drug rehabs around the world, especially in the former Soviet Union countries and has worked in more than 30 countries and released 17 albums, of which Avoin taivas sold platinum in Finland in 2020.
Even though countries and circumstances vary, the leading light for her has been faith in Jesus and the message of grace. Why follow Jesus? Why is the Bible so important? How should one be disposed towards publicity, feelings and changes in life? How does one combine career and family? Åström unpacks these themes and questions of faith and reveals her inner world in a warm and reflective way that is familiar from her Finnish podcast of the same name.
The book is released in Finnish-English and Swedish-English editions and contains previously unpublished photo material.
